The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints.
We spend more, but have less we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees, but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment.
More experts, yet more problems. More medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much love too seldom& hate too often....
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life... We've added years to life but not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back...but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.
We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small charactersteep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share these insights, or to just hit delete...

Some Things To Think About....
Tuesday, December 4, 2007
I came across this today and thought I would share. Think of how much better everyone would be if they did these! Oh my gosh!
1. Be Impeccable with your word. Say only what you mean!
2. Don't take anything personally! When you are immune to the opinions & actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.
3.Don't make Assumptions! Express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and DRAMA!
4.ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST! Your best is ever-changing. Under any circumstances simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgement, self abuse and REGRET!

Its official!
Ok yall its official! Rachel and I combined forces and had our first Scentsy party last night. I sent out over 40 invites and called everyone I could think of and busted my tail to make it good. Rachel did the food and we did it at her house. And you know what? We had 1 person show. Yup, thats right 1 person- my friend thats in YW and playgroup with me!
My baby shower Rachel threw for me when I had Emma, a whole whopping 4 people showed up for that too-and they were from the same family-The Bernantz'!
I think I am starting to see a theme, either the ward hates me (or us) or we are just complete loosers!
Either way I am just going to make myself believe that lots and lots of people were out of town!
