You are thoughtful and care very deeply for your family. A loving home is of great
importance to you and you always try to make people feel welcome. Although you have a great capacity to love, you also have a great capacity to hurt, so at times you can be
sensitive. You're firm when you need to be, but people trust your judgment and
appreciate the kind way you always handle things.

Chelseas FUN Weekend!

Saturday Morning Chelsea woke up saying that her Tummy was hurting. I told her to come eat some breakfast and that would help. Well she said she wasnt hungry so I told her to go back to bed and lay down for a while then. Now, normally Chels eats us out of house and home and is running, bouncing, playing, bugging everyone in the house-including both dogs, climbing, and all that good stuff.
Chelsea stayed in bed ALL day until 3:00. We were supposed to go to Adams birthday party that night so we were getting her clothes on her and were just going to let her lay down on Rachels bed while we were there.
That was until I pused on her belly and she almost keeled over because it hurt so bad. So of to the ER we go! (yes the second ER visit in less than a week, I am about ready to just start putting our mortgage money toward Triage Room 17 at Northcrest Medical Center)

I took these pics on my phone so they arent the best but she was such a good sport, I was so proud of her. They had to do a urine sample, chest and belly x-rays, put an IV in her arm and take blood, then do a CT scan and put the organ dye in her IV. I kept telling her that its so the drs could but "squirts" in her arm and not have to keep poking her. That finally made her stop freaking out over the IV in her arm.
Long story short, they still arent sure why its hurting her as of Monday afternoon it was still hurting but they knew for sure the appendix was ok and was thinking it was just a viral infection of the intestines and colon. Fun I know! So, heres to my tough little trooper! Love you baby girl!

For Real!

My sister-in-law emailed this to me and I was laughing so hard I had to post it!

GOD CREATED CHILDREN

(AND IN THE PROCESS GRANDCHILDREN)

To those of us who have children in our lives,

Whether they are our own,

Grandchildren,

Nieces,

Nephews,

Or students...

Here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control,

You can take comfort from the thought that

Even God's omnipotence did not extend

To His own children.

After creating heaven and earth,

God created Adam and Eve .

And the first thing he said was

' DON'T !'

'Don 't what ? '

Adam replied.

'Don't eat the forbidden fruit'

God said

'Forbidden fruit ?

We have forbidden fruit ?

Hey Eve .we have forbidden fruit ! '

' No Way ! '

'Yes way ! '

'Do NOT eat the fruit ! '

Said God.

'Why ? '

'Because I am your Father and I said so ! '

God replied,

Wondering why He hadn't stopped

Creation after making the elephants

A few minutes later,

God saw His children having an apple break

And He was ticked !

'Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit ? '

God asked.

'Uh huh,'

Adam replied.

'Then why did you ? '

Said the Father.

'I don't know,'

Said Eve .

'She started it! '

Adam said.

'Did not ! '

'Did too ! '

'DID NOT ! '

Having had it with the two of them,

God's punishment was that Adam and Eve

Should have children of their own.

Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,

Don't be hard on yourself.

If God had trouble raising children,

What makes you think it would be

A piece of cake for you ?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !

1. You spend the first two years of their life

Teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend

The next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward

For not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why

Some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.

In fact,

They usually repeat word for word

What you shouldn't have said

5. The main purpose of holding children's parties

Is to remind yourself that there are children

More awful than your own

6. We childproofed our homes,

But they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.

They will choose your

Nursing home one day ;

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION

AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,

DO WHAT IT SAYS

ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

'TAKE TWO ASPIRIN'

AND 'KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN'!!!!

Reactive Airway Disease

Well we woke up yesterday with Emma coughing and wheezing-AGAIN! She woke up the morning before with a croupe sounding cough and she had to go to the dr for a re-check on her ear infection from two weeks ago so I had them look at that too. She didnt have it bad enough so they wouldnt do anything about it.
Fast Forward back to yesterday morning:
We wake up at 5 AM with her coughing really bad and wheezing so I go run a hot shower to get the steam to try to help open her lungs back up. The girls get up at 6:30 for school so I get them ready and take them. Emma is still sounding bad-maybe even worse so I call the drs office. They cant see her until at least 10:45. Its not even 8:00 right now. CRAP! What do I do now?
I decided that I could give her an albuterol treatment but if there was any inflamation then it wasnt going to do anything, she needed steroids. So I just took her to the ER-AGAIN.
Sure enough after about 5 hours and every test from Blood to Stool to Urine and X-Rays they finally diagnosed her with SOMETHING!
I have been asking them to diagnose her with Something-Anything so that I would at least know how to treat it and also how to PREVENT it from happening ALL THE TIME!
What? You may ask? Reactive Airway Disease! What is that you may ask? Well its basically Asthma without calling it asthma because she is so young they dont want to call it asthma.
We left the ER at about 12:30 with RX's for Prelone (a heavy duty steroid that turns my kid into psycho-ADD0-crazy kid) and more albuterol and instructions to give her treatments as often as she needs but was warned she is probably going to be needing them every 4-6 hours for about a week or so until the Steroids take full effect.
So in the mean time I am stuck at home, with a crazy ADD-like 2 year old who runs up and down the hallway just because she can, who I have to hold down for 20 minutes every 4-6 hours for a breathing treatment so she can actually breathe while shes running up and down the hallway making me nuts in the process.
LIFE IS GRAND! Gotta love being the Momma at times like these!

Honeysuckle Hill Farm Pt.1

I got to go with Chelsea and her class today to Honeysuckle Hill Farm. Thanks to "our Abby" for watching Emma for me. It was so much fun but it was chilly all day and I was FREEZING! I tried to go buy me some hot chocolate but realized I left my wallet in my car at the school. Before we left I got to eat Breakfast with her and her class in the cafeteria. Chels was so cute to watch her go thru the line and pick her food and punch in her lunch number, she's getting so big! Then we got on the big yellow school bus, its been a LONG time since I have been on a bus and not much has changed! I think we could have rode the bus there and just stayed on it and Chels would have been the happiest kid in the world! We got to ride on a hay ride, pick a pumpkin out of the pumpkin patch, play in the corn corner (a big sandbox-like thing full of dired corn kernels) see and pet a bunch of animals, plus tons of other stuff. It was so cute to see Chels interacting with all her school friends and see first hand this other part of her life that I dont get to see that often.

I couldnt resist this picture, its both of Chelseas teachers playing on the see saw! They are so funny, I really like them and they do such a good job with thier class!

Extremely Thankful!

Ok So I just wanted to tell everyone how crazy thankful I am for the public school system. I was so excited to wake up this morning and take my kids to school after they were out all last week due to Fall Break. The girls have such good teachers and love going to school that even they were excited to go back to school today. I definitely think that school teachers dont get the pay or thanks or respect that they deserve!
Thanks to Mrs. Connor and Mrs. Byrum for doing such an awesome job with Chelsea.
Not to forget Miss Sarah (Fiser) for being such a great teacher to Kylee!

I just went and looked at the website of the school and Chelseas Class is in the phot gallery! You can see it here:

Tomorrow I get to go on Chelseas first field Trip to Honeysuckle Hill Farm and then I get to go back next Wednesday with Kylees Kindergarten class for thier first field trip too! Thanks to Abby and Whitney for keeping Emma for me on these days so I am able to enjoy this with my girls!

Chelsea Got Her Ears Pierced!

While we were at the mall we decided to get Chelseas ears done. She always loves looking at the earings when Kylee and I are looking at them and I knew she would love having them but GETTING them would be a different story, and it WAS! She was FLIPPING out so bad that it took Sol and I both holding her to do the last one! But once she got calmed down after it then she got to pick out some cute girly fuzzy slippers and she was so excited that I threw in some Dora lipgloss that she was laughing no lie 30 seconds after it was done-shes just a HUGE drama queen. I asked her in the car on the way home if she liked them and if she was glad she got it done and she said yes to both. So CONGRATS to Chelsea on her big accomplishment tonight! Love you baby girl, pumpkin pie!

Emmas Birthday Dinner

We decided since Sol got off work early we would try to do something fun for Emmas Birthday today. So we decided to take the girls out to dinner to Rainforest Cafe. It was a HUGE hit! Emma thought it was the best thing ever and when they brought out her "bird-day cake" I thought her eyes were going to bug out of her head! I still cant believe my baby is TWO!

Gotta LOVE Fall Break! (I sure don't)

Since its Fall Break the kids have been out of school this WHOLE week! I dont think anyone can be as excited for Monday to come as I am! So to keep them busy I took them to the zoo yesterday but my camera died about 20 minutes into it so these are pretty much the only ones I got!

Emmas Birthday Party!

We did Emmas Birthday Party last Friday. It was such a blast that the kids still talk about it. We made homemade pizzas and painted pumpkins while we were waiting for them to bake. I tried to make a Cinderella cake for her but while I was dealing with a dumb lady on the phone Emma decided she wanted to "taste it" as she said. We ended up going to Walmart and getting Princess cupcakes for the girls and The Incredible Hulk ones for the boys. We are going to change her name from Emma to "The Cake-inator" now. :)
I still cant belive shes TWO!

Happy Birthday Emma!

Emma turns two tomorrow-Friday October 17. She was born at 2:22 PM and I only had to push two times. Guess we are in for two's with her! She was born on her great-grandpas birthday so we named her after him-Emma Ray.
I remember being so mad and cranky because I was 3 days late with her and no matter what or how hard I tried she would not come out but the second I laid eyes on her I instantly fell into such a deep love that I didnt even care that she was 3 days late, I had a bad epidural, I had to be in the hospital at 5 AM and had not eaten all day. It was definately one of the most peaceful, beautiful, happiest moments of my life. She instantly loved her daddy, and slept thru the night at not even a week old. She has been just pur bliss since the day she was born! We love you Emma and are so glad you joined our family!

Camping

This last weekend we went camping up in Glasgow Kentucky. It was such a fun trip. Adam opened up for Bryan White and Sammy Kershaw and he did so good we were so proud of him! Chelsea fell asleep before Adam got on stage and Emma was soon after that. It was so cold at night that the first night I got all the girls up at 3 AM and we slept in the car with all the seats folded down and left Sol in the tent. YA, he FROZE!We rode on the quads and went fishing and saw the horses at the pay lake up there. Sol had so much fun widdling the whole time. He made a spoon for cooking the eggs in the morning and a TON of marshmellow roasting sicks. The girls are still talking about thier camping trip and we are planning on going again before it gets too cold.

Introducing Rosie

This is our new Shar-Pei puppy Rosie. She is so sweet we just love her. She slept with me all night last night.
