Changes

So we go to church yesterday and of course since we are a few minutes late so we are ushered to the second pew from the front and our stake president is sitting on the stand. He gets up and announces that for the first time in the history of the Madison stake (used to be called the Nashville stake) they are splitting 1 ward to create 2 wards-a total shock. I had to idea anything was about to happen, I didnt even hear anything going on thru the grapevine.

So they took our ward, the Hendersonville ward and split it so now there is the Hendersonville and White House wards. So of course I bawled thru sacrament meeting-all the young women a.k.a "my girls" were on the stand to sing for a guys misson farewell and of course it hit them hard and they were bawling.

So we get out of sacrament meeting like 40 minutes late because of the split and the farewell in one meeting. I talk to a few people then head down to Young Women. Now, mind you I am crushed by now, realizing who is and who isnt in my ward and seeing all my girls crying and all that-yes, I am only the Beehive advisor but I love my calling and my girls almost to an unhealthy level-I leaned over to Sol right after they announced it and told him I am going to camp next year for sure now-THE WHOLE WEEK! Anyways, I get down to Young Women and they announce we are having the guys come in and they are having a combined testimony meeting. So yes, another bawl fest. Sol felt so bad that I was so sad that while I was in YW he went to Sams Club to find me an ipod-even though we cant really aford the one I want he was going to try...

Anyways, it should be interesting how things pan out, before we could fit our "huge" ward in the chapel and 1 small over flow that only held less than 5 rows of chairs and now they pretty much just divided it down the middle so its going to be half the size.
