The extent of my craftiness
Ok so when the girls started school I did this one day. I think it turned out cute and I love having a constant view of the next 3 months so I can write down dr. appts, dentist appts. etc right then and not forget to put it on when that month comes up.
Arizona- August 28-Sept 2
This was such a fun weekend. I took Emma with me and left the other girls at home so they wouldnt miss any school. (Thanks Sol by the way, It takes a tough man to deal with kids for that long of a stretch and get them to school and picked up two of the days I was gone!-Love ya!) We stayed at my little sisters house with her and her hubby that just got married last year and are expecting thier first baby in March. We have always been so close so it was perfect to stay at her house. Emma still talks about and misses "kissy and tay-were". Krissy even painted her nails bright pink (my favorite color!) and she LOVED it!
My sister got married to such a great guy! We are so happy for them both. Its been a LONG time since we have seen her this happy. Love you guys!
I did her hair and make-up for the wedding as well as her daughters hair. Not to toot my own horn but I think she does look pretty amazing if I do say so myself! :)
My nephew turned 1 this weekend too so they had a party for him the night before I left. Nothing fancy but he is so stinkin cute how could you not love it? I realized how much I miss being around all my family for things like this.Happy Birthday Brayden! We love you!
Emma really fell in love with her extended family on this trip. She really learned who Krissy and Taylor are and who Grandma Ivy is. She calls them "Kissy" and "Tay-were" and "I-fee". I love it I think its so cute to see her getting to know her family!
Catching up...Whew!
Ok so its been a good while since I have updated anything. All I can say is that once your kids start school, it runs your life!
So the next few posts will be updating mostly. Since the first of August my kids have started school, I went to Arizona for my sisters wedding/a long Labor Day weekend/get away with just Emma, Been potty training Emma, We got a new puppy, and having Asthma issues with Emma so the E.R. has been a frequent stop for us.
Enjoy if you have the next 3 days to sit and read this! :)

Kindergarten and Pre-K...The best things on earth (as far as I am concerned anyways)

Kylee and Chelsea started school today! Hooray! As I was walking out from dropping Chels off I saw other parents walking out and some were actually CRYING! Now I am a pretty sympathetic person (I think anyways) but I had a hard time not laughing at them, I was so excited to drop them off I was feeling kinda bad about it!
Sol took the day off so he could see it all first hand so the we loaded up the whole crew at 7:20 and dropped Chels off first. We went in and Chels just dropped her backpack and said hi to her teacher and reached right for the puzzles. I was like (chuckling to myself becuse the teacher was in awe that a student that young was not falling apart and crying at the thought of being gone all day) "umm, Chels you forgot to kiss me!"
She laughed and came and hugged and kissed me and I wished her a good day. She went right to the puzzle.
Sol then "what about daddy?" Again, she laughed and hugged and kissed him and that was that. She didn't care we were gone, she was so ready for it that she was starting to get naughty at home last week or so because she wanted and needed to go so bad.
So then off to Kylees class. Her backpack was full of all her supplies and we had some extra stuff like her nap mat and all that so we were carying it for her. Well before we dropped Chels off, we ran into Kylees teacher at the end of the hallway so she said she would wait there for us before she got the rest of the class from the cafeteria) So we drop Chels off and meet her teacher at the end of the hall and she leaves to get the rest of the class. She gets back and we all trail in back of her and since we are carrying everything for her Kylee runs up to her teacher and starts chatting her up-didnt care if we were there or not, the school could have probably been on fire and she would have been oblivious to it.
*side note about Kylees clothes- she desprately wants to be a "rocker chick" in her own words, So if we are in the store and she sees ANYTHING with skulls or crossbones then she pleads and pleads for it. So yes my 5 yr old is wearing a shirt with skulls on it and skater shoes, this was the compromise outfit, if you think this is bad, you should have seen some of the other ones she wanted at the store!Oh ya and we had the whole "you will be so hot wearing that tomorrow for recess, No, mom I will be fine!" argument and after a while I didnt even care, I figured let her sweat pretty good a day and maybe she will be more willing to listen. Ya it just so happened to be 98 degrees today so yes I felt really bad for her at recess all day today!*
We help her find her desk and give the teacher her stuff. Kylee kisses us and thats that. Sol and I were like "ok, there are seriously upset, crying moms, whats the deal, we are soo glad to be dropping them off!"
So in Celebration Sol, Me and Emma went to Jack in the Box for breakfast! It was wierd to go out with just one kid again, I kept looking around thinking some of my kids were lost or something. This is me with no make-up, I really should have done it but I chose to sleep for those 10 minutes rather then do it so I look like a racoon but who cares, I sure dont, I didnt have 2 of my kids ALL day!

Fast forward to that afternoon when we picked them up:
We walk down to Chelseas class (since its the pre-k program I have to sign her in and out every day in the classroom) and she is so into what the teachers have them doing as a time filler on the board that she is oblivious to whats going on until Emma sees her and yells "Telsee, Telsee! Siss-er, siss-er!" Chels sees us and jumps up (already with her backpack on) and heads to the door. She about knocks me over with a hug and I ask her if she had fun. "yes! yes! yes!"
So we go walk out and I told her tell her teachers thank you. So she does more of a yell then thank you. Then she takes about 3 steps and then realized she forgot something. She runs back and YELLS "LOVE YOU!" to her teachers and runs off. She had such a good, fun day she was almost "twiterpaited" (a fun word off bambi for all those non-disney dvd watchers out there) The whole way home she chattered about this and that and her teachers. She loved it and cant wait to go back.
So we go around the corner to pick up Kylee and she had just woken up from her rest (the kids who are car riders stay an extra hour so they have "rest time" for that hour)She was so groggy, her shoes were on the wrong feet, she just grabbed her backpack and walked out the door. Sol and I look at her and eachother kinda puzzled, she has been soo excited for school we were kinda expecting the same thing Chels did. On the way home she woke up a bit and was excited to tell us about her day and loved it too but for a while there I was kinda nervous her hatred for school had already started!
It was a good day, I cant believe I have 2 kids in school, I cant believe I am old enough to have 2 kids in school but none the less I am glad to have them in school and even more that they like it and have good teachers!
