Last month when we moved out of our house in Springfield it was crazy as most moves are. Well, a box of books that had my scrapbooks and baby books that I made for the girls got left accidentally as well as most of the baby stuff in the unfinished bonus room. We went to get them but the new owners had already changed the locks so it was impossible to get them as we didnt know who the new owners were or how to contact them. I was totally, incredibly heartbroken.
I had spent so much time and energy (money too) on making the baby books for the girls. I had the ultrasounds pictueres, birth pictures, keepsakes, all that sentimental stuff in there and I was devastated at the thought of loosing them. All the rest of the other stuff could be replaced eventutually but the baby books was the main thing that I was upset about loosing. So I decided to just put a note on the door and and hoped that they called me back.
In the mean time I would stop by the house to see if I could catch them, ask the neighbors if they knew them yet, and hoped and prayed so hard that I would get a phone call. I was even giving myself the mother of all "its ok, its just stuff, you have some of the pics scanned in and the memory of all that stuff wont be forgotten and you can make another one" pep talks.
Well, today I have been busy doing the typical mom stuff. I get a phone call from my friend Whitney saying that her little brother Corbin just got a call from a lady saying she had some baby pictures that she wanted to get back to me. My heart sank-I was hoping it would be the books but I would take the pictures. So I called her back. No answer so I left a message. The second I hung up my brother in law Adam called. He got the same phone call Corbin did. I immediately called her back again and she answers this time.
Long story short, she said she has a bunch of my baby stuff, Christmas ornaments and even my baby books and wedding albums and all that that I made. She owns a shop kinda like Goodwill and a lady came in and donated a bunch of stuff. She said she didnt have the heart to put them out on the floor of the store. She found the numbers in one of the books I had while I was pregnant from one of the kids and had written down names and numbers of people for Sol to call when I went into the hospital/had the baby.
So, thanks to this wonderful lady whom I have never met yet I get to go down at 8:30 in the morning before her store opens up and get my books back! (I am excited to see what else of mine she has there, especially my baby stuff since number 4 is on its way but the books is the thing that I really, really want)
I was so emotional while talking to this lady I think I thanked her about a million times and even got choked up and started BAWLING when I called Sol and told him about it.
Even though the world we live in doesnt seem like its getting any better and is full of terrible people there really are good and decent people out there who want to make a difference and I am soo beyond thankful for ladies like this as well as answered prayers!
